The Teakwoods Tavern & Grill is a hybrid tavern and family style restaurant. Smashing a floor full of peanut shells as you walk in seems suitable for a restaurant that encourages patrons to throw shells on the floor, which adds to the casual decorum and laid-back clientele.
Teakwoods has a nice selection of food on the menu ranging from simple salads to pasta entrees, and finding something that suits your taste and price range is a no brainer.
Today we took ring side seats at the Tavern bar. After browsing the menu, we nailed it down to a Santa Fe chicken sandwich with seasoned curly fries and a nachos entree. 
Make sure you bring your appetite because the meals are healthy in size. In fact, we ordered a half order of the nachos and the portions were still huge.
The sandwich was perfect; a chipolte sauce accented the Southwest chicken and by the end of the meal we knew we had to chalk another one up to “must visit this place again.”
All in all, the service was great, the food was filling, and the atmosphere was as casual as it gets — what else do you need for a great night out?
