Iron Girl Raises Funds For American Heart Association With 5K Run/Walk Event

On November 13, Iron Girl will hold a 5K women’s only run/walk event at Tempe Town Lake.  Event organizers will offer unique give-away items, such as Iron Girl performance wicking shirts sized just for women.  Additionally, a special Mother/Daughter category will provide those young and old the opportunity to spend quality time together while exercising.  Baby joggers are also welcome to encourage new Moms to participate. 

Because heart disease and stroke are the No. 1 and No. 3 killers of women, Iron Girl will raise funds for the Phoenix chapter of the American Heart Association.  Participants who raise $250.00 or more will be placed in a drawing to win a spa package from Mood Swings Salon & Gallery, voted # 1 hair salon in Best of Citysearch Phoenix in 2003.
