SMOCA STARTS THE SUMMER WITH A SPLASH JUNE 23, 2005
June 17 , 2005 by Kathleen GordenThe Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art presents SPLASH: Summer SMoCA Nights from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. June 23. A fixture of Valley nightlife, SMoCA Nights brings together artists, fashion designers, musicians and dancers from throughout Arizona for an eclectic evening of cutting-edge culture and hip entertainment.
Among the highlights of SPLASH are performances by the electronic band Peachcake, Gamil Zarah Middle Eastern Dance Company and DJ Maji as well as a fashion show organized by the staff of Labelhorde, Arizona's premiere fashion directory.
On view at SMoCA are three new summer exhibitions: Water, Water Everywhere. . ., SouthwestNET: Animation and Looking at the World: photography from the permanent collection.
