Free Landscape Workshops in April

The Water - Use It Wisely campaign, of which the City of Mesa is a founding partner, along with other Arizona cities and water providers, will team up with Lowe's Home Improvement stores for a month-long promotion of water conservation.
The promotion features five weeks of consumer workshops that highlight water efficient products, appliances, and landscaping, while offering simple tips and techniques to save water inside and outside the home. The promotion will run from April 2 through April 30 at all 15 Lowe's stores in Arizona.
You are invited to attend weekend workshops every Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Mesa Lowe's at 1440 S. Higley Road.
Topics include:
April 2 - Lowering your water bill
April 9 - Planting to attract hummingbirds and butterflies
April 16 - Planting, staking and growing trees and shrubs
April 23 - Selecting an irrigation timer
April 30 - Summerizing your landscape
Beginning April 1, you also can register to win a Fisher & Paykel Eco Smart washer and front-loading dryer, and free installation, a $1,170 value.
On April 9, City of Mesa Water Conservation staff will be at the Mesa Lowe's to hand out information and will be joined by KOOL FM, which will broadcast live from the store. For more information about this month-long promotion, visit www.wateruseitwisely.com
