Sketch Comedy Tour

March 28 , 2005 by Editor

California Comedy Troupe I Can't Believe It's Not Comedy is bringing their funny peculiar brand of comedy theater to Phoenix and the folks at Trash City Entertainment are making a big deal out of it, in fact, to be frank, their going a little overboard with all the fuss.

It's a full to the brim night of comedy featuring Phoenix favorites Ron and Ryan, Sketch Comedy/Improv troupe Early Bird Special, and coming directly from LA's The M Bar, I Can't Believe It's Not Comedy headlines the bill with their newest collection of skits.

As if that wasn't enough, special guest comedians will help keep the evening moving along.

The Three Women and Two Men of I Can't Believe It's Not Comedy or ICBINC have played SF's Eureka Theatre, LA's legendary Brown Derby and The Knitting Factory and have been featured guests of The SF Sketchfest, The Velvet Hammer Burlesque and The Marsh Comedy Festival.

Their hard to define comedy is more likely to rely on character and story development than gags and they're not afraid to tackle subject matter like reproductive rights, assisted suicide or pinatas.

ICBINC released their first comedy CD, "Funnier Than God" this year and it is currently on the play list of over 300 college radio stations, quite a few of whom are actually playing it.

Please see www.notcomedy.com for video and audio clips of this truly unique comedy troupe.

"The troupe's shows never have been vulgar but they have been topical and sometimes politically charged." Jim Carnes, The Sacramento Bee, March 4th, 2005

"Irreverent (but surprisingly non-profane) humor, the crew brings to mind some of the funnier bits of Monty Python and vintage Saturday Night Live. These guys could easily be the next SCTV." Robert Berry, www.RetroCrush.com
