First annual Beach Soccer Tournament kicks off at Tempe Town Lake

Join the city of Tempe and A.K. Sports Management for fun in the sun as the first annual Tempe Town Lake Beach Soccer Tournament kicks off at the Tempe Town Lake. The tournament will take place from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 3, in five sand beach fields located at the north bank of Town Lake. The event is free and features music, food and a beer garden.

Men's and women's soccer teams are now being formed. Teams must consist of 10 to 12 players 18 years and older. Each team will play a minimum of two games. Advanced registration is required due to limited space. Registration is $150 per team. There will also be a category for 16 to 18 year-old boys.
