Free Summer Concerts Hit the Right Note
March 23 , 2005 by EditorSteele Indian School Park is the place to be for music this summer. The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department will once again host the Summer Concert Series offering music lovers everything from reggae to classical jazz.
The free concerts will be held at the park's outdoor amphitheater, Third Street and Indian School Road . Bring a blanket, lawn chairs and a picnic basket, sit back and enjoy a relaxing evening of family entertainment under the stars. Food and beverages can be purchased at the park.
The 2005 Summer Concert Series is sponsored by Ten Eyck Landscape Architects, Inc. and the Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture.

Concert schedule: (Saturday performances begin at 8 p.m. )
May 14 Azz Izz Band Eight piece band blending reggae, latin R & B, pop and jazz. June 11 Sistah Blue Award-winning five piece female band considered to be a creative force in the contemporary blues world. July 9 Margo Reed Quartet Valley music icon provides classic jazz entertainment. Aug. 13 T.A.T.E Four piece band playing classic rock. Sept. 10 Nuance Cool jazz and hot vocals
