Volunteers Needed for Desert Challenge Games in Mesa
March 21 , 2005 by EditorVolunteers are needed for the 2005 Desert Challenge regional games for disabled youth and adults scheduled for April 14-16 in Mesa.
The Mesa Association of Sports for the Disabled, in collaboration with the City of Mesa
’s Adaptive Sports Program, needs people to help run the competition, which includes track, field, archery, 3-on-3 wheelchair basketball, boccia ball, swimming, table tennis, weightlifting and cycling.The event is open to physically disabled athletes ages 6 years and older.
The games will take place on the evening of April 14 and from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on April 15 and 16 at Mesa High School and Kino Pool.
