Forum set to address issues of community homelessness
February 19 , 2005 by EditorThe City of Tempe is bringing together members of the community to address the needs of the homeless. A forum will be held from noon to 5 p.m. on Feb. 23, at the Tempe Public Library, 3500 S. Rural Rd.
The forum will discuss the implementation of recommendations presented by the Homeless Task Force Report, regarding issues of homelessness in the community. In addition, the forum will address the on going needs of the homeless and explore ways to maximize resources dedicated to homeless services. Discussions will enable services to be provided that best represent the interest of the community.
The Homeless Task Force recommendations have been assigned to the Neighborhood Quality of Life and Public Safety Council Committee, led by Chairman Ben Arredondo and Councilmember Pam Goronkin.
