Big Love for Citrus Music Festival Announces Bicycle Parade
November 19 , 2007 by EditorTempe, AZ Tempe music icon, Slim Golba announces the addition of a Children's Bicycle Parade to the second annual Big Love for Citrus Music Festival slated for Sunday, December 2, 2007 from, 11-7 pm. The event will be held at Tempes Kiwanis Park in the beautiful Sister Cities Garden.The parade will take place during the festival from 2:30-3:00 p.m. and children of all ages are invited to decorate their bicycles with streamers, balloons, ribbons and horns and participate in the parade to celebrate Citrus Seva Golba.
The Big Love for Citrus event celebrates the birth and commemorates the passing of Golbas beloved daughter Citrus, who bravely lived with cystic fibrosis. Two main stages will provide family oriented live music, and a childrens stage will feature dancing, storytelling and face painting. Popular Arizona bands Major Lingo, Walt Richardson, The Noodles, Joe & Matt Myers, Kindread, and Ringo McLennonSon will also perform at the event along with Golbas own band, The Overtones.
The festival welcomes vendors, volunteers and non-profit organizations to participate in the Sunday afternoon family event. There are no fees for vendors.
The Big Love for Citrus Music Festival is a free event and is open to all. It is a celebration of the optimistic nature of children everywhere; the spirit of love that lives within each of us.
