Fireworks Displays Light Up the Sky Over Phoenix
June 03 , 2008 by EditorIndependence Day is about fireworks, family and friends. The public will have the opportunity to view great fireworks and celebrate the birth of our country at one or all of these events that will be held at Phoenix parks. Admission will be free at each venue.
Friday, June 27 - 41st Annual Firecracker Softball Tournament. Games 7 - 9 p.m. (Fireworks display at 9 p.m.). Southwest regional softball tournament, giveaways and fireworks. Rose Mofford Softball Complex, 9833 N. 25th Ave. 602-262-6485.
Saturday, June 28 - After Dark in the Park. 6 – 9 p.m. (Fireworks display at 8:45 p.m.) Deer Valley Park, 19602 N. 19th Ave. Local entertainment, game zone, refreshments and fireworks. 602-495-3735.
Thursday, July 3 - Light Up the Sky. 7 - 10 p.m. (Fireworks display at 9:30 p.m.). Maryvale Baseball Park, 3600 N. 51st Ave. (south of Indian School Road). Games, inflatable rides and special activities for kids, information booths, community groups and a fireworks show. 602-262-4539.
Friday, July 4 - Freedom Wireless Fabulous Phoenix 4th 6 – 9:35 p.m. (Fireworks display at 9:15 p.m.). Steele Indian School Park, Third Street and Indian School Road. Celebrate our country’s freedom at one of the largest fireworks displays in the southwest. Kids inflatable rides will be free in the Manzanita Speedway. Kids World.
