Halloween Safety Tips
Share these wonderful safety tips with your family, friends and neighbors. Although there are many websites containing Halloween safety tips, take a look at the California Fire Department’s website. They have a comprehensive site that offers safety tips that can be used prior to Halloween, before nightfall on the day of trick or treating, safety tips during trick or treat, as well as information for after trick or treating. This information can be found at www.lafd.org/hween.htm.
Halloween favors and trinkets
Stir things up in your neighborhood this Halloween! Hand out favors and trinkets in addition to, or in place of Trick or Treat candy. Kids will love the change. Investigate the Oriental Trading Company Inc. at www.orientaltrading.com. They offer deep discounts of up to 50% off on some items. Remember to allow time for delivery. Your local Walmart offers a large selection of small inexpensive items that would also work well for handouts including fake teeth, bug rings, Halloween straws, etc. A word of caution: Check to make sure that the items you purchase are age appropriate and suitable for small children!
