Light rail on track in Tempe

Tempe Mayor Hugh Hallman and the Tempe City Council welcome the public to the next taping of Let's Talk Tempe, for a discussion about light rail in the Valley and the practical implications of its construction locally.

The mayor and council's guests will be Rick Simonetta, Chief Executive Officer of Valley Metro Rail, and Jyme Sue McLaren, Light Rail Project Manager with the City of Tempe. The forum will take place at 7:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 26, at the Pyle Adult Recreation Center, 655 E. Southern Avenue. Bagels, coffee and juice will be served beginning at 7 a.m.

"Light rail construction will begin in Tempe this summer," Tempe Mayor Hugh Hallman said. "I want to ensure that our residents and business people are informed about what to expect."
