Tempe Historical Society Gift shop promotes big sale

TEMPE, Ariz. - The Tempe Historical Society Gift Shop, 809 E. Southern Ave. is offering a 75 percent off sale on a wide selection of unique items and is selling greeting cards for 50 cents. The sale lasts until all items are purchased.

Gift shop hours are: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday and Saturday, and 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The Tempe Historical Society provides support to the Tempe Historical Museum and the Petersen House. It also supports historical research, educational programs and changing exhibits.

TEMPE, Ariz. - Registered voters in Tempe may continue to cast early ballots for the city’s March 11 primary election at two locations.

Early voting will be available through March 7 at the Tempe Public Library, 3500 S. Rural Rd., and at the Harry E. Mitchell Government Center, 31 E. Fifth Street, in the first floor of the inverted-pyramid City Hall building. Hours at both locations are Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

High School Students Experience Working in the Performing Arts at ASU Gammage

On February 21, nearly 20 high school students from Peoria’s Sunrise Mountain High School  will begin their first day on the job at ASU Gammage as part of its innovative “School to Work” program.

Since its inception 14 years ago – more than 300 students have been a part of School to Work – an interactive workshop that highlights potential career choices in arts administration. During the workshop, students interact with ASU Gammage employees and learn what it takes to run one of the top arts presenting theaters in the country.

My 45 and FOX 10 Launch “MY DATING PLACE” Web Site

KUTP My 45 and KSAZ FOX 10 today unveiled the online home of “My Dating Place,” the interactive dating program based entirely around Valley residents.

Found at www.myfoxphoenix.com, this site is where individuals can create a profile, post videos and photos, view those of other singles and volunteer to have their date taped for an upcoming episode of the show.  All contact information will be kept confidential until otherwise indicated.

“We wanted ‘My Dating Place’ to allow local singles to get to know each other in a fun and unique way,” said Pat Nevin, Vice President and General Manager, KUTP-TV and KSAZ-TV.  “By using this multi-faceted platform to bring people together through television and the Internet we are providing a truly interactive experience.”

Premiering Monday, June 25th, “My Dating Place” will air on My 45 Mondays at 9pm, with encore episodes presented weekdays at 3pm on My 45 and weekends on FOX 10.   The show, in conjunction with the Internet, allows local individuals to record individual profiles and then potentially appear on television to meet and date fellow Arizona singles.
