Snakes of Arizona: A Class for Parents and Kids
The Environmental Education Center at Veterans Oasis Park (northeast corner of Lindsay and Chandler Heights roads) has a great class for families. Snakes Of Arizona will be on Friday, July 10, from 10-11:30 a.m. See live examples of the snakes that live in Arizona and learn how to protect yourself and the snake if you were to encounter one in the wild. If we’re lucky, we may even get to observe these captive snakes having a meal! This program is designed for children over 7 years old and their parents; no drop-offs allowed. The cost is $8. For more information call 480-782-2890, email EEC@chandleraz.gov, or visit www.chandleraz.gov/veterans-oasis
