W.E.B. Du Bois’s Papers to Be Digitized for Viewing Online by UMass Amherst Library, Thanks to $200,000 Verizon Foundation Grant
The W.E.B. Du Bois Library at the University of Massachusetts Amherst will digitize an estimated 100,000 items from its Du Bois collection, thanks to a $200,000 grant from the Verizon Foundation. The project will provide online access for the first time to original diaries, letters, photographs and other material related to one of the most influential African Americans in United States history.
