T R A I L W O R K V O L U N T E E R O P P O R T U N I T Y at
CAVE CREEK TRAIL #4 (in the TONTO NATIONAL FOREST)
Saturday, April 4th (8am – 12pm)
SCOPE OF WORK: Clearing brush and trimming branches.
DIRECTIONS:
Take 101 North to Pima Rd. Take Pima Rd. North to Cave Creek Rd. Take Cave Creek Rd. East. Eventually it will turn into Forest Road (FR) 24. Drive North for 14 miles up to the Cave Creek Trailhead. The road is winding, both asphalt and concrete, and there are a few river and wash crossings, but it is a passable road for all vehicles.
NOTE: Due to the switchbacks it takes up 45 minutes to make it to the trailhead from the base (i.e. Cave Creek Rd & Bartlett Dam Road.)
Please come suitably attired (sturdy shoes, thermally appropriate long pants, long sleeved shirt, wide-brimmed hat, gloves) and prepared (water, sunscreen, etc.)
PLEASE BRING REFILLABLE WATER BOTTLES!
(Snacks will be provided)
