Nesco’s Cherry Dump Cake
“Merry Cherry Crunch. ”
2 cans cherry pie filling
6 drops almond extract
1 box yellow cake mix
1 TB granulated sugar
3/4 stick butter, melted
Lightly spray cake pan with cooking oil. Combine both cans of cherry filling with almond extract. Pour into oiled cake pan.
Sprinkle dry cake mix on top of cherry mixture. Drizzle melted butter over dry cake mix. Sprinkle sugar on top.
Bake at 375º F., in 12 or 18 quart roaster, or conventional oven for 15-20 minutes or until top is lightly browned and crunchy and the cherries are bubbling.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.

HI, Bill
I was thinking about using my nesco roaster to make a cake but before I do would like to know if a cake baked in roaster is as good as the ones baked in oven. I like everything else that is prepared in roaster but a cake I just don’t know.
