Tumbleweed Center for Youth Development
On Wednesday, March 11th, Ear Candy visited Tumbleweed Center for Youth Development and donated the essential pieces of a music program (drums, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, keyboard, and trumpet). Their downtown drop-in center services over 200 homeless youth in a year!!!!
We are building incentives to help these youth get off the street, build a foundation, and get back into action. The music program will provide inspiration, build self-esteem, and may be the future for many of these inspiring youth!!!
Watch out, we’ve got programs launching soon at Teen Central in the Burton Barr Library, instrument drop-offs at C.J. Jorgenson Elementary, collaborations with many schools in the Creighton and Washington Districts, and a massive project developing with the Lode Star Resource Center on the Human Service Campus!!!
Friday the 13th!!!
This Friday 13 Bands are coming together on Friday the 13th to benefit Ear Candy!!! Club Red in Tempe (101/University) is hosting the event on their Two Stages and are donating signed guitar by the band Dokken to be raffled off!!! As always, we’ll be collecting instruments for Ear Candy Music Programs for Kids!!!
Rolling through the desert like a Tumbleweed!!
