Corks & Cuisine Wine Dinner Series

Series begins with Penfolds - Australia’s Most Famous Wine

SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA - March 27, 2008 - Barcelona Steakhouse in partnership with Sportsman’s Fine Wine and Spirits announced the kick-off dinner for the Corks and Cuisine Wine Dinner Series.

The first dinner will be held on Wednesday, April 2nd and will feature the wines of Penfolds - Australia’s Most Famous Wine. The five course price fix menu presented by Barcelona Steakhouse Executive Chef Bryan Williams, features exotic flavors to enhance the taste of the wines. An example of the pairings include a Millionaire Salad with Maine lobster paired with Bin 51 Eden Valley Riesling and Porcini dusted summer fields lamb paired with Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon.

The event will feature Matthew J. Lane, Penfolds Director of Wine Education for the Americas and Canada as the guest speaker. Mr. Lane trains internal staff and external clients on wine education on a global scale. He is also a guest lecturer at the University of Adelaide, one of Australia’s top wine training colleges.

The evening will begin with a reception at 6:30 p.m. followed by dinner seating at 7:00 p.m. Price per person is $75.00 and reservations are required as seating is very limited.

The next Corks and Cuisine Wine Dinner event is slated for Wednesday, May 21st and will feature the wines of Ferrari-Carano.
