East Valley Tribune to Cut Jobs

East Valley Tribune Layoffs
In a move announced today in the East Valley Tribune the Scottsdale Tribune and Tempe Tribune will be shuttered and other East Valley Cities will be served with free editions of the Tribune newspapers. Beginning in January 2009, the free editions will serve Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert and Queen Creek. They are to be printed only four days per week.

Employees impacted by layoffs at the East Valley Tribune and layoffs at other East Valley employers (and West Valley employers) are encouraged to attend the next Scottsdale Job Network meeting on Tuesday October 7, 2008 at Temple Chai at 4645 East Marilyn Road Phoenix, Arizona 85032 from 9 AM – 11:30 AM. The topic of the meeting will be “Developing Your Resume” and there will be recruiters in attendance and networking opportunities.
