I hope you are safe and will return home to the most enthusiastic welcome back we can give you.  You hold the line where others hold back.  You did not ask for it; but you gave it your all when we need it the most.

My family fought in two world wars, Korea and Viet Nam.  I was in SAC at McDill AFB in Tampa during the Cuban Crisis.
I sat in a bunker for 24 hours hoping no one somewhere in the world pushed a button and evaporated me and my family.
 
I hold this day, Memorial Day, one of the most honored of days for all American Service men and women to be held in the highest esteem for their service to this country, the sacrifice made and the hope they all return safe and sound to us.
