Legal Clinic on Preventing Identity and Business Theft for Small Business

The city of Phoenix Community and Economic Development Department, Small Business Division, will host, “Identity and Business Theft.” The seminar costs $30 and will be held 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at Phoenix City Hall, assembly room B, 200 W. Washington St.The seminar will be facilitated by Mark Pribish, national sales director of identity theft management for Merchants Information Solutions, Inc. Pribish, a nationally recognized ID theft expert, will discuss theft definitions/types; tactics and scams; data breaches legislation; cost and economic impact; information security; and risk management.
The workshop is part of a series of legal clinics designed to educate small business owners and entrepreneurs about law-related topics crucial to business success.
