Mountain Vista Medical Center Offers SeniorAdvantage Events to the Community

Mesa, Ariz. – SeniorAdvantage is a program at Mountain Vista Medical Center that promotes healthy living in adults age 55+. Each month, a variety of seminars are offered, along with medication checks and other activities designed to meet the needs of SeniorAdvantage members.

Classrooms are located on the second floor, behind the cafeteria. Park on the east side of the hospital and enter through the Outpatient area.

Learn what to do when you get a cut, burn or bruise. There will also be time available for foot checks to assess for wounds, ulcers, calluses and dryness.

Healthy Meal Planning- Presentation and Cooking Demonstration

In celebration of March, National Nutrition Month, our Dietary Department has a double treat for you. Shauna Salvesen, one of Mountain Vista’s dietitians, will talk about getting back to the basics in planning easy, healthy meals for yourself and your family. Also, Executive Chef Matt James will present a live cooking demonstration showing you how to easily use these basic cooking techniques. He will also provide a “green” theme in anticipation of St. Patrick’s Day. Samples will be provided.
