World-renowned Irish Soprano Cara O’Sullivan to perform at ASU Kerr Cultural Center February 12th
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – Arizona State University Kerr Cultural Center will be hosting world-renowned Irish soprano, Cara O’Sullivan with accompanist Aidan O’Carroll on Friday, February 12, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. The show will be held at ASU Kerr Cultural Center located on Rose Lane, north of Scottsdale Road and McDonald Drive. One of Ireland’s most prominent leading sopranos, O’Sullivan has an impeccable operatic degree with talent that has taken her across the world. Spanning an impressive wide-ranging repertoire, she has been referred to as “The Irish Superstar of her generation” by the Irish Times. The Cincinnati, Ohio press has noted, “Cara O’Sullivan dominated her scenes with a voice of steele and sparkle, and practically pulls you from your seat!”
Cara was recently invited to perform at the Conservatoire du Nice, France, The Cultural Concert Hall Singapore, The Burswood Theatre Perth, and The Sydney Opera House. Cara was delighted to be invited to sing the title role of The Lily of Killarney as part of the 250th anniversary celebrations of the Royal Dublin Society in June of 2007. ASU Kerr Cultural Center is delighted to host one of Ireland’s most well-known and admired opera singers.
