Open auditions set for Off-Broadway production of Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding

Chandler Center for the Arts announces open auditions for Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding; No experience necessary to audition for a role in this Off-Broadway production, spoofing an Italian-American wedding

CHANDLER, Ariz. - Chandler Center for the Arts is seeking actors and actresses for major roles in the upcoming Off-Broadway production of Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding to play at the Center March 23-28. Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding is an interactive Off-Broadway show that spoofs an Italian-American wedding, complete with a pre-show cash bar, a ceremony and reception full of mishaps and mad-cap comedy, plus a buffet dinner with wedding cake, music and dancing.

Auditions are scheduled for Friday, March 5 from 6-8 p.m.; Saturday, March 6 from 12 noon to 4 p.m.; and Sunday, March 7 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Chandler Center for the Arts, located at 250 North Arizona Avenue in Chandler.

The production is seeking men and women ages 19-60. Only people with outgoing personalities need apply. No experience necessary, but improvisational skills and acting experience is helpful. Auditions will be interviews and some actors will be asked to improvise. Please RSVP by March 1, 2010 to Victoria.Perkins@chandleraz.gov with name, email address and phone number. Audition date and time will be assigned via e-mail. No phone calls, please. Those interested are asked to bring a headshot or recent photo, and resume.

Actors must be available for rehearsals and all performances. Rehearsal schedule provided at the audition. (The tentative rehearsal schedule is set for March 19-22, with performances scheduled for March 23-28) This is an excellent opportunity to work with professional actors from the New York production.

This is a non-equity production.
