Grants Available for Renewable Energy Projects for Arizona Non-Profits

$650,000 in Funding Now Available for the Arizona Renewable Energy for Non-Profit Organizations Program
PHOENIX – The Arizona Department of Commerce Energy Office announces that $650,000 in funding is now available for the Arizona Renewable Energy for Non-Profit Organizations Program. Assistance, in the form of grants, is available to Arizona 501(c)(3) non-profit entities for renewable energy projects that can reduce fossil fuel emissions and total energy use and to improve the energy efficiency in buildings. Money is allocated from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Arizona’s State Energy Program, 21st Century Energy Grant. The funds are limited to $50,000 per applicant. No match is required unless the eligible organization wishes to participate in a rebate program offered by a utility company.
Commerce will host a pre-proposal meeting as part of its application process to provide information on the grants as well as provide guidance in filling out the application. Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend the meeting. The meeting will be held at:
