Spark Design Mill Avenue Office Open

Tempe, AZ – The location of Tempe company Spark Design to the historic building on the northeast corner of Fifth and Mill does more than just fill the last space in one of Mill Avenue’s most prominent intersections — it brings the agency back to its roots.
Spark opened its original offices in the Orchidhouse on Sixth Street east of Mill Avenue. When the company outgrew the space, it moved just a half mile up the road to offices near Town Lake. While still part of the downtown area, the company missed the special Mill Avenue vibe.
Today, the company takes the entire third floor of Don Plato’s Fifth and Mill Building and couldn’t be happier. “There is a special feeling to being on Mill,” vice-president Bridget Brodie said. “Our clients love it. Our staff loves it.”
Spark Design is one of Tempe’s Creative Corridor businesses. Nearly 20 public relations, marketing, advertising and social media companies are within a mile of Mill Avenue, making this a haven for collaboration and connectivity between the firms, each of which has its own business niche.
Spark’s balcony overlooks Tempe’s best festivals, such as the New Year’s Eve Block Party, Spring and Fall Mill Avenue Festival of the Arts, and many others. The everyday atmosphere of thousands of college students and knowledge economy workers adds to the inspiration of the office, too.
Stop by Spark today for an open house. Mayor Hugh Hallman will be on hand at noon today to congratulate the team.
