Enjoy the Sights and Sounds of Italy with Phoenix Sister Cities

Phoenix, AZ – The Catania Committee of Phoenix Sister Cities presents “Sicilian Baroque in Mixed Media” 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, at the Arizona American Italian Club, 7509 12th St.
Dr. Thomas Puelo, assistant professor of Political Science and Global Studies, Arizona State University, will present his research on Catania, a city noted as the birthplace of Sicilian baroque architecture after the devastating earthquake of 1693.
In addition to the presentation, attendees will celebrate the culture of Catania with a musical interlude of Italian baroque compositions presented by Gino and Friends, photography captured by the Phoenix Sister Cities Youth Ambassadors during their 2009 visit and enjoy light appetizers.
Tickets are $15 for students and members of the Arizona American Italian Club and Phoenix Sister Cities or $20 for the general public. To purchase tickets, call 602-534-3751.
