Health for a Lifetime Workshop – Happy Hour for Your Heart!

Phoenix, AZ – “Health for a Lifetime,” a series of free workshops presented by the city of Phoenix Human Services Department Senior Services Division and St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center, will offer health information for older adults and the community.

The next workshop, “Happy Hour for Your Heart!,” will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 9, at Senior Opportunities West Senior Center, 1220 S. Seventh Ave.

At this happy hour, attendees will enjoy a heart-healthy snack and a fun and educational program presented by Nilou Minaei, registered dietician at St. Joseph’s. Minaei specializes in nutrition program management and personal mentoring and coaching. For more information, call 602-262-6610.

Future monthly workshops will include information about nutrition, cardiac care and the latest cancer treatments. The workshops are free and open to the public and support the mission of the Healthier Phoenix Initiative.

The city of Phoenix Human Services Department Senior Services Division operates 15 centers that provide adults, 60 years or older, with a variety of programs and services. St. Joseph’s is a 743-bed, not-for-profit hospital that provides a wide range of health, social and support services, with special advocacy for the underserved. It is part of Catholic Healthcare West, one of the largest healthcare systems in the West.
