Sphinx offers Buy Local program in cooperation with Local First Arizona

Scottsdale, Ariz – Need to “wine” down before the holidays? Visit Sphinx Ranch’s second event in its local wine tasting series. Visitors to Sphinx Ranch Gourmet Gift Market in downtown Scottsdale on Dec. 12 can sample wines from Chandler’s own Kokopelli Winery from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Additionally, during the week of Nov. 27 through Dec. 6^th, visit Sphinx Ranch and receive 10 percent off all premium wine gift baskets as part of Local First Arizona’s “Buy Local Week.”

Sphinx, Arizona’s premier local gourmet market and provider of gift baskets and trays and consumer and wholesale bulk products such as Medjool dates, nuts, dried fruits, coffee, honey, jellies and salsas, welcomes the public to its location on 3039 N. Scottsdale Road, for the in-store event. The tasting will be co-hosted by Kokopelli Winery.

“We’ve only been involved in the Arizona wine community for a few months now, but our first couple events were tremendously successful,” said Jason Heetland, owner and general manager of the store located in downtown Scottsdale. “Kokopelli is one of the most widely recognized wine labels in the state and we are very excited to be partnering with them to offer tastes and insight into one of Arizona’s budding industries.”

Sphinx Ranch will be sampling the following Kokopelli wines at the in-store event: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Sauvignon Private Reserve, Merlot, Sweet Lucy, Chianti, Chardonnay, Chardonnay Private Reserve, Rheinwine, Muscat Canelli, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Grigio, White Merlot, Desert Rose, and Imperial and Royal Kir Sparkling wines. All wines are available for in-store purchase, local and national delivery, or for inclusion in gift baskets.
