The Holiday Family Movie Series will provide free entertainment for people of all ages with an assortment of film favorites and classics to be enjoyed under the stars. Popcorn will be provided for your added enjoyment, and nonperishable food donations will be accepted for the St. Mary’s Food Bank. Movies will be shown at Fulton Ranch Towne Center behind Old Chicago restaurant.

Holiday Family Movie Nights kicks off tonight, December 1, with Polar Express. Starring Tom Hanks, this 3-D animation comes to life with a mysterious and fascinating journey from Durango to the North Pole. This special story enriches the magical enchantment of the season, and makes a Christmas believer out of everyone.

On December 8, enjoy White Christmas, the classic 1954 holiday movie starring Bing Crosby and Danny Kaye. A perfect way to embrace the upcoming holiday spirit, this all-time great Christmas musical has outstanding dancing and music, featuring songs by Irving Berlin. This classic is sure to bring an ambiance of cheer and dreams of a White Christmas – as the film says, “May your days be merry and bright, and may all your Christmases be white.”

Kids will love How the Grinch Stole Christmas, the popular animated Dr. Suess classic from 1966. Showing on December 15, this amusing flick features the grumpy hermit who steals toys from the whimsical Whos from Whosville and later realizes the true meaning of Christmas. How The Grinch Stole Christmas is sure to be a family favorite to laugh along with and delight in the renditions of Yuletide songs.

Christmas wouldn’t be the same without seeing It’s a Wonderful Life, one of the most popular and inspirational holiday films, being presented on December 22. This uplifting flick has been a beloved Yuletide staple for over 60 years and has been deemed one of the top 10 best American film classics, as well as receiving 5 Academy Award nominations. The films depiction of the American Dream gone bad results with a joyous epiphany and renewed view of life, stimulating the compassionate spirit of the season and cherished value of friendships.

“This is a fun event showcasing all of the Yuletide classics that everyone will enjoy,” said Stephanie Case, Marketing Director for Fulton Ranch Towne Center. “It’s a perfect opportunity to bring the family together during the holidays and experience the heart-warming joy of the season.”
