Cigna Medical Group CareToday clinics receive additional H1N1 vaccines; Available to those with and without insurance

Phoenix, AZ – Like most states, Arizona is experiencing “widespread” flu activity, according to the US Centers for Disease Control. While there is no guaranteed method to prevent the flu, receiving a vaccination and taking some simple precautions can reduce the risks.

The H1N1 vaccine is recommended for, and doses will be prioritized for, the following groups:

• Those between ages 6 months – 24 years old
• People who live with or care for children under 6 months old
• Pregnant women
• Health care and Emergency personnel
• Those between ages 25-64 who have chronic health disorders or compromised immune systems

A nominal $18 fee does apply to administer the H1N1 vaccine. This cost is covered for most CIGNA health plan members and other insurance carriers can be billed. Cash, credit or debit cards, or personal checks are also accepted.

Patients are asked to download a consent form online at http://www.cigna.com/cmgaz/H1N1.html and to bring the completed form with them.

CMG CareToday clinics are open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., weekdays; and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekends. No appointments are necessary.
