Tempe 411 explores 10 years of Tempe Town Lake

Tempe, Arizona – This month marks the 10th anniversary of the opening of Tempe Town Lake – 10 years since the first drop of water started to fill the formerly dry Salt River bed. A lot has happened over the past decade, from redevelopment to entertainment to leisure opportunities. We’ll take a look back to see what we’ve accomplished and what the future holds.

We’ll drop by the Mill Avenue Entertainment District, which is fast becoming the place to be during all hours of the day. During the evening, a new host of activities is energizing this unique and eclectic area. Let’s experience some of the new activities this vibrant area has to offer and see what everyone is talking about.

Tempe 411 will also look at the new weapon Tempe added to its arsenal for fighting graffiti. This new tool will help keep our community looking great!

Tempe 411 is a homespun, fast-paced look at community events, partner organizations, cool locations and the people who make our city great. It airs daily on Tempe 11, which Cox cable subscribers can view on Channel 11 at home, or online at www.tempe.gov/tempe11. Visit the Web site for a complete listing of program dates and times.
