Falcon Field Municipal Airport Issues Santa Alert

Santa Claus is flying to the Commemorative Air Force Arizona Wing Aviation Museum in Mesa on December 5, 2009, to help the East Valley Firefighters collect Toys for needy children from November 27 – December 20
Mesa, AZ – Santa Alert! The air traffic control tower at Falcon Field Municipal Airport has reported seeing a blip on the radar screen near the North Pole. It looks like Santa Claus has begun his 3,905-mile journey to The Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Arizona Wing Aviation Museum at Falcon Field in Mesa. Santa is scheduled to arrive at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 5. The Museum will be hosting a special “Breakfast With Santa” for the children from Sunshine Acres before the facility opens.”
Santa and the CAF Arizona Wing are going to help the East Valley Firefighters Charities collect toys for needy children this Holiday Season during their annual toy drive. The Museum will collect new unwrapped toys and canned food from November 27 through December 20. On the day of Santa’s visit December 5th a special admission prices will be in effect. Admission will be free for children 12 and under and $10.00 for those 13 and over. Bring a new, unwrapped toy to the Museum that day and receive FREE admission or bring canned food and receive $1.00 off of the admission price. The East Valley Firefighters will distribute these toys to needy children throughout the area for the holidays. Santa also will be talking to all the girls and boys who come to the museum that day, gathering their Christmas wishes and checking his list to make sure they have been good this year. Doors open at 10:00 a.m. and close at 4:00 p.m. with Santa Claus arriving at 11:00 a.m. Admission includes tours through the B-17 Sentimental Journey and the aviation museum. Toy drawings will be conducted every hour.
The CAF Arizona Wing Aviation Museum and the City of Mesa encourage everyone to join the East Valley Firefighters in making sure needy children have a happy Holiday Season.
The Toy and Food Drive will run from November 27 – December 20 this Holiday Season at the CAF Arizona Wing Aviation Museum.
CAF Arizona Wing Leader Rick Senffner says “Supporting the East Valley Firefighters efforts to collect toys for needy children this Holiday Season is such a worthwhile cause that we hope everyone will participate”.
