SRP Announces Board Appointments

Phoenix, AZ – Salt River Project announces board appointments. Gary Hull, an attorney with SRP’s Legal Services, was elected president of the Arizona Educational Foundation board of directors. Hull, whose term is for two years, lives in Tempe. The Arizona Educational Foundation, founded in 1983 by key leaders in business and education, fosters excellence in education by funding programs that enhance the capabilities of Arizona’s school districts to strengthen the teaching profession, design high quality curricula and stimulate student achievement.
Shirley McKean, an analyst with SRP’s Transmission and Generation Operations Training, was appointed to the board of directors of the Arizona Humanities Council. McKean, whose term is for three years, lives in Tempe. The Arizona Humanities Council, founded in 1973, is an independent nonprofit organization and the Arizona affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
In other SRP news, Karilee Ramaley of Phoenix who works in SRP’s Legal Services was named to the Association of Food Banks board of directors. The term is for three years. Established in 1984, the association consists of five regional food bank warehouses serving more than 1,600 food pantries and human services agencies statewide.
More than 85 percent of the SRP’s 4,300 employees impacted their communities this past year through volunteer efforts and charitable giving, many of whom volunteer an average of 3.3 hours per week – which translates into thousands of dollars worth of labor in service to the community.
