Health Series hosted by Paradise Valley Hospital aims to enlighten community and dispel misinformation on health related topics
Phoenix, AZ – Paradise Valley Hospital released today the August schedule for their continuing health seminar series titled – Real Answers from Real Doctors. The series, which aims to educate the community on various health topics from knee pain to diabetes, occurs nearly every Wednesday evening on the hospital campus and is free to the public.
“Our goal with the seminars is to educate the public on health issues and dispel misinformation that the community might have,” said Steve Sisto, CEO for Paradise Valley Hospital. “We have terrific seminars on topics that impact nearly everyone. Best of all, every seminar is hosted by an expert physician in the field so the audience can find comfort in the validity of what they are hearing,” he added.
Dr. Shawn Blick of Valley Urologic Associates recently held a urology seminar in coordination with Men’s Health Month in June and the response was incredible. “Paradise Valley Hospital’s seminar series allows physicians to interact with an audience in a positive way that only a community hospital like PVH can do.” Blick said. He added, “The response to my discussion was tremendous and I look forward to speaking again very soon. The hospital makes everyone feel comfortable, relaxed and eager to interact.”
For August, the hospital has three scheduled seminars: Pain Management with Bilal F. Shanti, MD., Interventional Pain Physician of Omnia Pain Consultants., Acid Reflux/GERD with Dr. Brad Doxey and Dr. Francisco Rodriguez of Valley Surgical, and a Diabetes seminar with Roberto Ruiz, MD F.A.C.P., Director of the Arizona Diabetes Foundation. The seminars begin Wednesday August 12, 2009.
