City of Mesa Water Resources launches podcast series to discuss water, energy and sustainability issues
Mesa, AZ – Mayor Scott Smith recently discussed his vision for Building a Better Mesa on a new podcast series produced by the City’s Water Resources Department.
The city of Mesa has launched The Pipeline, a free podcast series that discusses water, energy and sustainability issues. The Pipeline will touch on a variety of subjects including water quality, natural gas safety and green building principles.
Podcasting is a form of audio broadcasting and is an increasingly popular way of accessing news, information, and entertainment content from the Internet.
“Podcasting is a perfect medium for speaking to our customers directly, no matter what the audience is,” Public Information Officer Ian Satter said. “This podcast is a great way to keep in touch with our citizens, businesses and visitors through informative and engaging discussions about issues that really matter to them.”
New installments of The Pipeline will be posted periodically on the Water Resources Department Web site and future episodes will feature:
- A Sustainable Mesa, Dave Richins, City Councilmember, District One
- Benefits of Tap Water, Kim Caggiano, Water Quality Assurance Coordinator
- Water Conservation in Mesa, Donna DiFrancesco, Water Conservation Specialist
- Natural Gas Safety, Michael Comstock, Deputy Director, Energy Resources
