Cardon Children’s Medical Center to Host Kids Summer Survivor Fair

Health and Safety Fair to Feature Screenings, Education & Fun; Promotes Safety and Healthy Lifestyle Choices for Children and their Families

Mesa, AZ – Cardon Children’s Medical Center doctors, nurses and dieticians, representatives from the Mesa Police and Fire Departments and Mesa community businesses are hosting an event focused on surviving summer safely and preparing to go back to school. 

The event will feature exhibits on water safety, gun safety, fire safety, car seat safety, ID finger printing cards, bicycle helmet fittings and give-aways, ask-the-expert Q&A’s, blood pressure checks, vision screening, asthma education, scoliosis screenings, diabetes education, healthy cooking demonstrations and many give-aways.

For the kids: a bouncy house, obstacle course, hoola-hoop and jump rope contests and therapy dog visits.

Toy donations to Andrea’s Closet will be accepted to fill toy closets at Cardon Children’s Medical Center.

When:  Saturday, August 1, 2009 from 10a.m. until 2 p.m.
