Barefoot Wine AVPNext Championship Cup Stomps Into Phoenix, AZ; Winning Teams Head to San Francisco for the Chance to Play Against AVP Tour Players

Phoenix, AZ – Ever dream of competing against your favorite athletes? For two of Phoenix’s most talented amateur beach volleyball teams, that dream is about to become reality. The Barefoot Wine AVPNext Championship Cup will thrust one men’s and one women’s amateur beach volleyball team into the spotlight with the chance to play for a main draw berth at the AVP Crocs Tour event in San Francisco.

Over the past two months, 16 cities have been hosting qualifying tournaments where teams who emerge victorious will earn the right to compete against other nationwide winners at the Barefoot Wine AVPNext Championship Cup Grand Finals on August 13, 2009 in San Francisco.

Some of Phoenix’s most promising volleyball players have been battling it out over the past month, leading up to this weekend’s grand finals. The final day of competition is this Friday, July 12th at Victory Lane Sports Park.  On this day, we will find out which men’s and women’s teams will qualify for the Championship Cup in August.

Support aspiring volleyball players from the Phoenix area in their quest to join the big leagues of the AVP. The final match will take place on July 12th. 2009 at 7 pm. at Victory Lane Sports Park located at 22603 N. 43rd Ave, Glendale, AZ 85310 Call: (623) 581-6000.
