S2 Energy and Harmon Electric Join Forces to Launch Harmon Solar
PHOENIX – A Phoenix-based second generation, family-owned and operated electrical contracting firm, Harmon Electric, has merged with Glendale-based solar installation company, S2 Energy Partners. As a result of the partnership, Harmon Electric has formed a new company division, Harmon Solar, specializing in the design and installation of photovoltaic systems for residential and commercial buildings.
Adapting to the changing landscape has enabled Harmon Electric to thrive for the past three decades in one of the fastest growing cities. Given increased demand from clients, expanding into solar systems design and installation was a natural progression for the company. With photovoltaic installers required to be licensed electricians, Harmon Electric has provided installation support to S2 Energy for the past year. Combining breadth of knowledge and resources, the merger with S2 Energy enables the new division, Harmon Solar, to be a stronger force in the solar arena. The owner of S2 Energy, Tim Lofthouse, will now assume the role of lead designer for Harmon Solar.
According to Co-Owner of Harmon Electric, Dan King, “Harmon Electric was receiving more and more requests for the installation of solar systems, and S2 Energy was growing at a rapid pace. By creating Harmon Solar, we are combining our knowledge and resources to provide even greater service and customized solar systems for our clients.”
Harmon Electric recently moved into a new 5,300 square foot office and warehouse space in North Phoenix to accommodate the company’s growth. The new facility allows the company to assemble solar panels prior to installation. The latest Harmon Solar projects include a variety of residences throughout the state, including a 20,000 watt ground-mount system in Wickenburg.
