Phoenix Concrete Company Wins Distinctive Awards

Arizona Chapter of American Concrete Institute honors Progressive Concrete Works with Excellence in Concrete awards

PHOENIX – Progressive Concrete Works Inc. received three “2009 Excellence in Concrete Awards” from the Arizona Chapter of American Concrete Institute (ACI).

ACI’s annual “Excellence in Concrete Awards” presented Progressive Concrete Works Inc. with the following awards:

• 2009 Award for Sustainable Concrete Construction - Progressive Concrete Works Inc. installed 140,229 square feet of their Drainscape^TM at the Glendale Park & Ride project located in Glendale, AZ. Drainscape^TM, which is pervious pavement, is known for its sustainable abilities and was chosen for this project to reduce size of the retention pond for storm water runoff and to add to the overall ecological benefit of the project. • 2009 Award for Commercial Architectural Hardscape – Progressive Concrete Works Inc. designed and installed the hardscape portion at the Citadelle Shopping Plaza in Glendale, AZ. The hardscape was designed with multiple stamped concrete patterns and colors to compliment the sophisticated social ambience at the Citadelle.
• 2009 Award for Residential Architectural Hardscape – Progressive Concrete Works Inc. installed the pool and patio areas of a local Arizona residence mirroring the beauty found in the natural Arizona landscape. The project is noted for the red and brown hues and natural textures.
