Heritage Elementary School now enrolling

Tucson, AZ – With a new state-of-the-art 12-acre campus complete, Heritage Elementary School is ready to welcome more students in fall 2009. During a state of nationwide economic turmoil, Heritage Elementary School is the perfect alternative to costly private schools by offering a private school environment, tuition free.

The economy has hit families across the nation hard and Arizona is no exception. Heritage Elementary School is an incredible solution for preschool through eight graders looking for an alternative to public school. Heritage blends academics with a focus on family values and citizenship, all part of the school’s Character Curriculum program. The overall goal of the program is to instill a sense of academic and social responsibility in all the students, something they will take with them to guide their future.

The popularity of charter schools is increasing. Charter schools encompass a range of curricula and styles, and are very well supported across the country. In fact, President Barack Obama’s policy on education is focused on nurturing the success of charter schools. He plans to double funding for the Federal Charter School Program to support the creation of more successful charter schools and prioritize the most successful charter schools so they can expand to serve more students.

Heritage Elementary School has two campuses in Glendale, with a smaller third campus in Williams, Arizona. The school’s character curriculum is based on basic values called the Six Pillars of Character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship. It is an intimate place of learning, where teachers, parents and students act as a team. Students are united by wearing similar uniforms. The latest computer technology is blended into everyday lesson plans and projects. Positive reinforcement is given at every turn.

The Heritage Elementary School East Campus serves students in first through eight grades. The school is situated on a 12 acre lot at 6805 N. 125th Ave. in Glendale. The 78,000 square foot East Campus offers 43 classrooms, a multi-purpose building, full gymnasium, a performance stage, full cafeteria, football field, computer lab, library/media center, a educational science greenhouse (a student favorite!), and a cooking kitchen. After an expansion in 2007, Heritage Elementary School determined the East Campus would solely serve first through eighth graders, and transformed the West Campus into an early learning educational facility.

The West Campus is located on a 3-acre property at 13419 W. Ocotillo Road in Glendale, Arizona. The 19,000 square foot building exclusively serves preschool and kindergarten students. The school offers comfortable classrooms, a playground, a multi-purpose room, cooking kitchen and a passionate staff dedicated to younger learning.

Heritage Elementary School offers free bus transportation to its student body, with pick ups and drop-offs on established neighborhood bus routes.

Parents are invited to register their child online at www.HESGlendale.org or by calling (623) 742-3956.
