Tempe builder remains busy with small business commercial projects
TEMPE, Ariz. - Don’t take your eyes off the road too long, but yes, Dunkin’ Donuts has a new look, and Tempe-based Sanctuary Builder is bringing it to the Valley. On April 22, 2009, the commercial builder began construction on its third Dunkin’ Donuts project, which will showcase the chain’s spruced up exterior, chic interior and retro-like motif.
“Dunkin’ Donuts is an excellent example of taking a brand and carrying it through from product to packaging to their store designs,” explained Karl Tunberg, co-founder and CEO of Sanctuary Builder. “Our ability to work hands-on from start to completion and execute quality construction on-time and on-budget, has allowed us to secure projects like the expansion of Dunkin’ Donuts and construction of other office and small business outlets.”
In addition to the three Dunkin’ Donuts stores, Sanctuary Builder remains busy with commercial projects for small businesses that span the Valley. Earlier this month the firm began construction on a small restaurant, Geno’s Giant Slice in Casa Grande, Ariz., and Exclusive Salon & Day Spa in Gilbert, Ariz. Both projects have a combined total of approximately 3,800 square feet and have projected completion dates of mid-May.
Dunkin’ Donuts’ new stores feature eye-catching designs with signature details like pink door handles shaped in the letter “D”, wall murals and branded color schemes alerting coffee and donut lovers alike. New drive-thru access also allows easy access to customers on the go.
Located in Tempe, Ariz, at 1811 N. Scottsdale Road, the new Dunkin’ Donuts store will be converted from a former restaurant containing approximately 2,100 square feet of space. As with their previous Dunkin’ Donuts project, Sanctuary Builder will be working with Phoenix-based ArizaDo Architecture & Design and Anthem-based investment group, Olympic Fields Associates. The project is targeted for completion in fifty-five days from start to finish.
