Tapino Kitchen & Wine Bar announced today that it has closed its doors forever as of Monday, May 18, 2009

Chef and owner James Porter announced in an email to patrons and fans that the resturant at 7000 E Shea Blvd # 1010 Scottsdale, AZ 85254 - (480) 991-6887 would be closing forever.

The specialty restaurant was well known around the Valley for unique food and beverages.

James closed the email by saying:

Tapino is gone forever, but it’s impossible for me to say good bye, so I won’t…  I may have lost this battle, but I have not lost the passion.  I leave the field of battle battered, bruised, and busted… but not broken. Like the legendary Phoenix, this Phoenician will rise again! And, when I do, I will let you know.  Maybe we can make a dinner date.
