Goober Pet Direct Event Redefines the Dog Days of Summer

Coolest Pet Event of the Year to Feature Pet Adoptions, Nutrition Education, Water Games, Raffles and Door Prizes
PHOENIX - Goober Pet Direct, a mobile pet supplies superstore, will host the “Coolest Pet Event of the Year,” a free pet adoption and nutrition education day, Saturday, May 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. inside its air conditioned warehouse located at 220 S. Mulberry Street in Mesa. The goal of the event is to find forever families for some of the countless homeless animals throughout the Valley, as well as provide education and entertainment to animals and their owners.
At the event, dogs from 15 different rescue organizations will be available for adoption and nutritional experts will be on hand to answer questions about pet care as well as discuss the pros and cons of commercial pet food. There will also be entertainment for dogs and their owners including, play pools and sprinklers for well-socialized dogs, door prizes, raffles, samples, refreshments and discounts on all products. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Goober Charity Partners, some of which include, Arizona Animal Welfare League, Gabriel’s Angels, Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, Boxer Luv and AZ Jack Russell Rescue.
