Performances Include Tempe, Arizona “Music On Mill” Series

Tempe, Arizona – Today Rhythm Street Players, the valley’s exciting new band, announced a collaborative project with accomplished guitarist, Lewis Ray Cammarata.  A valley resident since 1993, Lewis Ray began playing in Baltimore, MD in 1964.  His playing moved into the professional realm in 1975, where he has since shared the stage with cultural icons like The Blasters, Patti Smith, The Buzzcocks, and John Cale.  Recording under Back Door Man Records, The Zippers- Cammarata’s former band- also had a song featured in the Dennis Christopher film, “Fade to Black”.

Rhythm Street Players is a proud supporter of the “Music On Mill” program.  This street performance series, sponsored by Downtown Tempe (AZ) Community, Inc, is an effort to return live music to the downtown Tempe community.  The band will feature Lewis Ray Cammarata during their live Mill Avenue performances on May 7 and 21 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM, both evenings.  Performances are free and open to the community.
