Social Media Tool Use in City of Mesa
Interested in finding out what is happening in Mesa?
The City’s Web site, www.mesaaz.gov, is not the only place online to gather your information. You can now follow Mesa City activities on Facebook and Twitter, as well as watch videos on the MesaGov YouTube channel.
While the City does not see social media tools as replacing other current methods of providing information–such as the Web site and via the media-they are definite enhancements. The Web site, www.mesaaz.gov, will continue to provide updated information and offer a way to do business with the City online.
With social media tools, the City has an expanded ability to provide information in places customers frequent and gives those users a greater ability to choose how to receive information.
“Mesa is taking advantage of these tools to help spread the word about the multitude of programs, services and events the city has to offer,” Public Information and Communications Director Steven Wright said. “We are still in the learning stages and the public will continue to see new opportunities to not only learn about Mesa, but to connect with the City staff and officials.”
