Westward Look Resort to hold fourth annual Weststock Music Festival

Tucson, AZ – Get in the groove… Weststock at Westward Look Resort is back for year number four! Music, food and fun unite for one deliciously musical evening. Weststock Music and Food Festival, a Woodstock revival, will take place Saturday, April 25, 2009.

Get ready to jam to Woodstock era tunes from a sampling of Tucson’s most rockin’ bands – The Rowdies, The Retro Rockets, and Ball and Chain with Susan Barrett on vocals.

In addition to the main musical event, a beer garden, wine, margaritas and barbeque concessions make this event even more entertaining than the original.

Gates open at 6pm with The Rowdies kickin’ off the night’s musical performances at 6:30 pm. The Rowdies are a classic rock band and a local favorite. The group’s playlist will feature songs performed at the actual 1969 Woodstock festival.

The Retro Rockets will follow on center stage at 7:45 pm with their groovy music from the 60’s. The group will cover songs by Creedence Clearwater Revival, Crosby, Stills and Nash and others from the original Woodstock event.

At 9:00 pm, Ball and Chain, a four-piece band, will perform with Susan Barrett on vocals. The group will feature Janis Joplin numbers with Susan’s powerful voice leading the performance.

Tickets for the Woodstock-esque experience are $25 at the gate. For advanced chair seating, tickets may be purchased at the resort’s gift shop.
