Program allows working professionals to keep their jobs while completing degree
(GLENDALE, Ariz.) – Thunderbird School of Global Management is launching an evening MBA program that will allow working professionals in Arizona to keep their jobs while attending classes at night.
The program mirrors Thunderbird’s full-time MBA in admission requirements, curriculum and credit hours, but is completed over the course of three years, less if students take an accelerated program. Evening program students also may apply to take up to 15 credit hours online. Courses are taught by Thunderbird’s world-class global faculty and will begin this fall.
“During these tough economic times, many people cannot afford to leave their jobs to go back to school, so Thunderbird is offering this option to give individuals in Arizona the flexibility to advance their careers with an MBA in global management without having to forgo their incomes,” said Thunderbird President Ángel Cabrera. “Now more than ever, organizations need innovative, responsible and entrepreneurial leadership to create sustainable value for their organizations, the Valley and the world.”
For Thunderbird, this new program allows the global management school to deepen its relationship with Arizona businesses and organizations and to help the Valley become a more globally connected economy.
Thunderbird also provides working professionals opportunities to attain an MBA through its Global MBA On-Demand, which is distance-learning based, and its Executive MBA, which is held on alternating weekends and caters to individuals with several years of work experience.
The evening MBA program will enable students to complete their degree by taking two classes every trimester plus two “winterim” or “summerim” sessions. These intensive two- to three-week courses are held throughout the world and include the United States, South Africa, Asia, Europe or Latin America. They focus on real-world processes of global team building, government-industry partnering, consumer marketing, advertising, risk management and global ethics, among other topics.
Applications are being accepted now and interested students are encouraged to contact the school as soon as possible to begin the application process. For more information, please visit www.thunderbird.edu/eveningMBA or call 602-978-7100.
